BASILAN... OH BASILAN!

This is just one of those photos I considered special when I came to visit in the infamous province of Basilan. I pray and hope that PEACE reigns there so that these places and the rest of those potential tourist destinations can be seen and explored. 

THE CHURCH AND THE FREE

If you happen to visit San Pedro Street in Davao City, you'll probably notice this - two important symbols from the old San Pedro Church facing the new Sanguniang Panglungsod Building. This has a beautiful meaning for us Dabawenyos.

OFF TO SAN VICTOR ISLAND

San Victor Island of Baganga, Davao Oriental is one of the most beautiful Islands of Davao Region. It is blessed with powdery white sand and the seawater teems with different marine life. It is one of those destinations in the province that would love go back to. 

THE MIGHTY EAGLE

Being the country's national bird, the Philippines Eagle is also one of Davao City's important symbol. In fact symbols like this can be seen elsewhere in Davao. Like this eagle, Dabawenyo's are known to be mighty and proud of their roots and ancestors.

ON TOP OF THE HIGHEST PEAK OD SAMAL

This is the highest point in the Island Garden City of Samal. It is called Puting Bato. This is my favorite destination for a day hike because it is easily reached and can be done in less than a day.

MANTUNAO CAVE OF CATEEL

This is MANTUNAO CAVE located in the Municipality of Cateel, an east coast town of Davao Oriental. This is part of the Tres Marias Falls now known as Mantunao Eco Park. This is worth visiting in this part of Mindanao.

AMAZING DINAGAT ISLANDS

This is just among the many amazing Islands one can explore in the mystical province of Dinagat Islands situated in the Northern part of Mindanao. The Island Province of Dinagat is a newly created province in CARAGA Region. It was formerly part of Surigao del Norte. People called it a place of unexplored natural wonders, thus, been given a brand name “Mystical Island Province of Love”.
